Child Therapy Services

Whether your child is dealing with a new issue or a persistent challenge, Leslie Baughman, LMFT (Lic#41380) can help. Leslie specializes in helping children with emotional regulation, adjustment difficulties, anxiety, as well as many other challenges.
The goals of therapy are to empower both you and your child to begin the process of change, develop greater insight into the underlying causes of emotions, and to gain the ability to respond to challenging situations in healthy and adaptive ways. Treatment will help you and your child learn more about the ideas, emotions, and behaviors that are contributing to the issue.
While Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is Leslie's primary treatment approach, other therapeutic models are often integrated based on each client's specific needs and abilities (play therapy, art therapy, mindfulness, interpersonal, solutions-focused, and family systems).
Some children respond well to virtual therapy and others do not. Prior to scheduling a session, Leslie will talk with you about your child and any potential barriers to treatment, helping to determine if online therapy could be a useful option, or if referrals for in-person therapy would be more appropriate.
