Leslie Baughman is a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist who has been counseling children, teens and adults since 1996. Since becoming certified in PCIT in 2000, Leslie has gone on to coach over 1,ooo families in PCIT, train and supervise PCIT therapists, provide consultation to PCIT agencies state-wide, co-authored PCIT training manuals and materials, authored a chapter on PCIT in a clinical textbook, and was featured in the web based training for PCIT therapists.

Leslie is considered an expert in this evidence-based treatment and continues to provide ongoing consultation to PCIT therapists in private practice as well as agency settings. Additionally, Leslie routinely presents on parenting issues and PCIT for community groups and professional organizations. 

Leslie is also skilled in providing individual, couples and family therapy. Leslie's clinical emphasis is on the use of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) to assist individuals in making changes in their lives. Depending on the specific needs and abilities of each client, a variety of other treatment modalities may be incorporated as needed.

Leslie has completed Levels I, II, and III Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and is in the process of becoming a Certified Gottman Therapist.  Building on her years of clinical experience and specialized training, Leslie is receiving individual consultation from a Senior Certified Gottman Therapist to further her expertise.

Services Offered
  • Free 15 minute initial consultation by phone
  • Ongoing psychotherapy for children, couples and families
  • Parent consultation sessions to address specific goals or to manage difficult times
  • Presentations (professional organizations, schools, parent associations, etc.)

Rate
The fee for a 50 minute session with Leslie is $140 ($210/80 min & $280/110 min). Payment is due at the time of service, and cash, check, Health Savings Account (HSA) Card, or credit card payments are accepted. A limited number of discounted, or "sliding scale", slots are available for those with documented financial need. Connect Counseling does not currently accept health insurance, however you will be provided with a receipt documenting payment (aka a "superbill"). This receipt can assist you in obtaining reimbursement from your insurance company if you have been authorized to see an "out of network provider".
